NUSS NEWS September 24, 2010 My most exciting news is that the painting at the right won "Best Landscape" in the National Oil & Acrylic Painters Society annual "Best of America" exhibit. I was just thrilled to get into the show, and just found out two days ago of the award. The painting will be exhibited with the other 75 paintings during the fall at various galleries in Missouri. |  |
| Next exciting news is that three paintings of mine were accepted into the 2010 Paint the Parks TOP100. This exhibit replaced the National Arts for the Parks Competition in which I had six paintings over its 20 year existence. These three paintings, all of the C&O Canal National Historical Park, will go on a national tour for the next two years. |
| The painting at right has been chosen to appear in a national calendar, called Mountain Maryland Plein Air 2011 Calendar. I plan to have these available for sale on my website. Tonight is the opening at Gallery of CNY in Cazenovia NY of a group show by the gallery artists entitled "Farms of Madison County." | On October 2 and 3, I will be teaching a two-day workshop on landscape composition at the Easton Studio & School, in Easton MD. I continue as president of the Washington Society of Landscape Painters, where there is always something going on. Their exhibit of paintings of the Chesapeake Bay and it's watershed at University of Maryland University College was a resounding success with over 45 beautiful paintings.
