NUSS NEWS June 16, 2010 During the summer, I will be exhibiting the painting at right, Boulder Bridge, with the Washington Society of Landscape Painters at American Painting Fine Art, 5118 MacArthur Blvd., NW, Washington DC. The exhibit is entitled "Washington, DC Vacation," and many scenes from around the DC area are included. My other four paintings are of azalea gardens, Annapolis, and an Alexandria home. |  |

Also during the summer, The Washington Society of Landscape Painters will be exhibiting forty-one paintings in partnership with the Chesapeake Bay Foundation at the UMUC Arts Program Gallery at the UMUC Inn and Conference Center in Adelphi, MD. This exciting exhibit has images from many endangered areas of the Chesapeake Bay watershed and a portion of sales will go to the Chesapeake Bay Foundation. I will send an e-invitation to you the latter part of July, as the reception is not until August 8. I continue as president of the Washington Society of Landscape Painters, where there is always something going on, which you can see by the above items. |
| Recently I participated in a plein air event called Mountain Maryland sponsored by the Allegany Arts Council in Cumberland, Maryland. One of my pieces, Bear Hill Road, shown here, won an honorable mention. I love painting out in Western Maryland this was my second time at this plein air event. I love the mountains and the colors and the whole experience. I truly feel I am at one with nature when I am there. Very exhilarating! On July 10 and 11, I will be teaching a two-day plein air workshop in Millwood, VA and on October 2 and 3 a two-day workshop on landscape composition at the Easton Studio & School, in Easton, MD. |  |
